Who Me?!

Great stories often have a reluctant hero who doesn't see his or her value until someone intervenes or circumstances force them to act. When God called ordinary people to rise up in critical times for a great mission, they didn’t exactly respond with courageous faith. They wrestled with self-doubt, and didn’t really seemed qualified for the job. Even though they doubted, declined, and resisted, He saw a faith in them that He could use. And with His power they rose to the occasion. As we look at 3 such heroes of faith from the Old Testament, you may be able to identify with them and believe that you may be a hero-in-waiting. Our time is calling for God’s kind of heroes too!

  1. Running Away (Jonah)
  2. Requesting Signs (Gideon)
  3. Making Excuses (Moses)
